Pre-Columbian Casas Grandes polychrome olla with badger head. Circa 1150 to 1450 CE. A fine pottery bowl, hand built in a zoomorphic form resembling a badger. Enveloped in beige slip with orange and black designs of nested spiral and triangular motifs. The vessel displays a bulbous body wit a rounded base, an attenuated neck, and pointed snout with a delineated mouth and nostrils, the verso of which opens up to the interior basin. Ex.
